It takes a true dumbass to take over the country that has always been the "mover and shaker" of world markets, with the strongest global economy and currency, spend three months annihilating all of that with a sledge hammer, and then attempt to move those same world markets from THAT position. We may be dealing with literally, the stupidest bag of meat to ever walk the earth.

Trump playing tic tac toe with a stubby pencil would more accurately represent his cognitive limits.

I am so proud of Carney’s quiet, calculated response. He’s the leader we needed and I’m hopeful he’ll keep leading us past the 28th.

Oh yeah. Everyone took their toys and negotiated with everyone else because they could and we aren’t the only game in town.

Someone overplayed their position on the world board game.

Someone believed that the world couldn’t possibly survive without the all mighty Leader of the Free World President of the United States, very mistakenly so. Yet, in less than 90 days he has absolutely isolated the US, and humiliated himself no end . The unfortunate thing is he is clueless about the whole situation he has created. The federal employees fired, the horrendous tariff bullshit, how far the destruction and devastation will extend. How to even begin to fix this mess he has made. I bet Mark Carney could, tho!!

Loved this article. I've commented often that while many other leaders are very good strategists and can easily win at a game of chess (Putin and Xi, especially), Trump knows nothing of strategy and can barely manage checkers. The worst part is that Trump believes he's winning. Kakistocracy is dangerous.

I actually think it’s the best part that trump thinks he’s winning. It will come as quite a shock as the USA continues to unravel before our eyes….

Liberation Day proved to be a horrifying spectacle of phony calculations and puerile showmanship. He confirmed what everyone suspected, he hasn’t a clue what he’s doing and his idiocy puts the world economy at risk.

Trumps no Politician but a Business Man that’s not very good at either. His Administration is no better. They’re just in it for the ride. After Trump tireds of them he’ll throw them under the bus.

Trump announced massive new tariffs on China—escalating a trade war without testing the waters. He didn’t quietly check in with bond market veterans, didn’t gauge the ripple effects on debt costs or fiscal stability. That’s not his style. He acts on instinct, not systems—seeing tariffs as pressure, not policy. But the bond market screamed, yields spiked, and the U.S. government’s borrowing suddenly looked fragile. So he rolled back—fast. Not because he grasped the mechanics, but because someone showed him a number that scared him. Trump’s gut is sharp on crowds and conflict. But when it comes to financial gravity, he flies blind.

This is deeply heartening. It’s good to have it so cogently explained that, although the house we’re in is on fire and it’s the firemen (Trump and the Republicans) who started the blaze and who keep throwing more fuel onto it, the rest of the world sees it. Those clear minds are not able to help us directly, but in taking steps to protect themselves and each other, by undermining our King Arsonist and his crew, they are helping to de-fuel the arsonists. Thank you.

While this is a good message, why the ridiculous AI image? I’ve seen so many good articles lately accompanied by garbage AI… it doesn’t seem to help to show others playing… Chess? on a chess board that size? With those pieces? Why is one red? Checeers? It might be worth it to get some real art involved.
