I wrote before, say it again…what does it take/how far does America have to fall/ how many die before the end of this rogue regime is impeached and jailed? There are several others ,of course , few less obvious.

His statement/news conference today was the ultimate (even for Trump) in braggadocio, lying, belittling, and shame. I am so embarrassed for our country that we elected this person

And…in the midst of legal peril, foreign policy chaos, and a domestic agenda that is convulsing the nation, and while at the NATO Summit, Trump still makes time to post a 500-word meandering, ALL CAPS screed aimed at AOC -- a rambling on about his cognitive test, laced with adolescent insults, and the kind of wounded ego that should probably be monitored by NORAD

There’s some analogy to Nero fiddled while Rome burned, but I need my coffee first…

Put a dram of Irish whiskey in your coffee. Not sure it will change anything, but it will ease the pain.

Before I read your astute summary, I was scanning several news sources, including the New York Times and the Israeli press, and was struck by how the dominant media narrative is fast becoming that the nuclear sites were in fact destroyed - as Trump and Bibi are declaring to boost their falling poll numbers.

Yet every credible, expert analysis says we can’t at this point know the extent of damage to Iran’s nuclear program. I fear we never will.

Meanwhile, as Trumpworld celebrates the Nobel Peace Prize they expect, Iran has the perfect cover to stealthily continue its nuclear program with whatever is left of it. If it was totally obliterated, what’s the rush to oversee something that doesn’t exist and won’t for years?

The 5% GDP is a curious number indeed. It is not only unrealistic for European and UK NATO members, it’s a bit crazy for the US (around $1.7T). Traditionally it is about 2-3%. So, no doubt NATO folks are grumbling. The reality, Trump is in a panic. His big bold moves from tariffs to bombs are not producing results. The Rebel Scum media keeps pointing out the reality. And, the war-on-the-cheap thingee may actually result in Iran closing the Straits of Hormuz. Oh crap! In the background, the not so subtle exclusion from the world. Except. There is no daddy to bail him out. Russia won’t bail him out. His moral bankruptcy is deeper; our national embarrassment greater.

Once upon a time, in the mythic land of Presidential Gravitas, our leaders uttered words that stirred the soul, inspired the nation, and made schoolchildren recite them with hand over heart and a lump in the throat:
